Work Day 4

~Today was a very eventful day. Instead of going to Gebeau to work we went to Chiraque, a small mountain village to deliver their new church pews. We also brought a couple of bags of beans and rice along with some shoes for the pastor to distribute to the locals. The hospitality at the village was amazing. As soon as we were up he mountain people were bringing us chairs to sit in. I guess they thought we looked thirsty after are hike up the mountain, beacuse they fetched us some fresh coconuts from the palm trees to drink. Yum (green coconut milk is a strong laxative)! After an official dedication of the church's new pews we made the long 6 mile trip back to Gebeau (Which took 35 minutes!). We made the workers lunch when we got there and sat down for Mikeys devotional. The workers were very impressed with Mikeys Kreyol. After the devotional we said a quick word of prayer for a worker that was in the hospital with malaria. Then it was back to work. While everyone else was hard at work carrying buckets Kaleb, Gayle, Gail, & Jack were busy tying steel in the shade. After a short day of work we went to the local souvenir shop to buy local made trinkits. Pat and Mike bought 2 ginormous butter knives. They claim they are putting them in their carryons (we wont be seeing them anytime soon if this is the case). Check back tomorrow to see how the final day of work went. PEACE YO!!!!!
